ABOUT US
Geographic Migration Centre – GEOMIGRACE is a research institute of the Department of Social Geography and Regional Development, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. Since 2009, GEOMIGRACE has focused on research of international migration and integration of migrants into the Czech society with special emphasis on the situation of post-Soviet and Vietnamese immigrants. The team has also aimed at studying and analyzing the development of Czech migration policy. The research is based on multidisciplinary approach with emphasis on geographic aspects of international migration and adaptation, and mainly conducted on a basis of combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Besides studies of international migration, GEOMIGRACE has also focused on research of internal migration of population of Czechia, as well as other forms of population mobility.
Since 2012, GEOMIGRACE has been a member of the international research network International Migration, Integration, and Social Cohesion (IMISCOE).
