New report by Dusan Drbohlav and Ondřej Valenta on the integration of migrants in the Czech Republic was released

2nd October 2014 - Migration Policy Institute (MPI) published the report "Building an Integration System: Policies to Support Immigrants' Progression in the Czech Labor Market" by Dušan Drbohlav and Onřej Valenta. The report focuses on integration measures in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on the economic integration of migrants. The report can be downloaded here.

24th of March 2014 - As part of the August Congress of Czech and Slovak Geographical Society (23rd Congress of the Czech Geographical Society and the 16th Congress of the Slovak Geographic Society), which will be held from 25 to 28 August 2014 in Prague, Faculty of Science, Charles University. There is the opportunity to intervene in two upcoming migration panels: 1 International and internal migration of foreigners / immigrants (the panel will be due to foreign guests in English) 2) The integration of immigrants into the society.

13th of March 2014 - Internal Migration of Foreigners in Czechia: Concentration or Diffusion? The current distribution of foreigners in Czechia is a result of international migration, as well as subsequent internal migration. While international migration played a decisive role in the distribution of foreigners until  the beginning of the global crisis, internal migration is now becoming the more important of the two. Studies of internal migration cannot ignore foreigners. Foreigners not only exhibit a higher intensity of movement, they also have different preferences and directions.

August 22, 2013 - The article "Is there an integration policy being formed in Czechia?" is a part of a monothematic issue of the journal Identities: Global Studies in Power and Culture. The issue brings a serie of articles by authors Michel Wieviorka, Nasar Meer a Tariq Modood, Jacques Barou, Dietmar Loch, Han Entzinger, Karin Borevi, Stefano Allievi a Tereza Kušniráková who seek to find an answer to a common question "What remains of the National Models of Integration".
